Herkimer diamond quartz beads are some of the most unique and special beads you can imagine. They are "doubly terminated" which means they grow with little or no contact with the host rock. They are also naturally occurring in this shape- they are not cut or faceted to look like this. These Herkimer diamond beads have been drilled through the middle so that they can be strung. The strands have crystal quartz round beads as spacers. These beads originate from China although the name of the stone comes from the place where they were first mined in New York State.
